We’ll be rocking out to performances by Tony Hadley of the Spandau Ballet and DJ Hesta Prynn. So come prepared to dance the night away in your most excellent 80s throwback looks. Don’t forget – the bigger the hair the better!
Born in London, Tony Hadley (MBE) went on to form the acclaimed 80s New Romantic band, Spandau Ballet, with his schoolmates; Gary Kemp, John Keeble, Steve Norman and Martin Kemp. The band had numerous chart-topping singles and albums all over the world, including ‘To Cut A Long Story Short’ (1980), ‘Chant No.1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)’ (1981), the international number one ‘True’ (1983), ‘Gold (1983), ‘Only When You Leave’ (1984) and the epic ‘Through The Barricades’ (1986). Tony has cemented himself as one of pop music’s greatest vocalists.
NYC-based DJ and radio personality, Hesta Prynn is known for her vast music knowledge and fun dance mixes. She can be seen DJing for celebrities including Amy Schumer and Jimmy Fallon, and will always be associated with Questlove who taught her to spin vinyl from her start. As a longtime women’s advocate, she has become the go-to DJ for women’s events and fundraisers.
